    2024 - Context Shift

     During the exhibition Transformatiestudio No. 1: Warm or Cold at CC De Adelberg, The Gas Station was integrated into the changing context of the show.

    Made in 2018

    In this series of 3D animations, a statue symbolizing power bends in different contexts. What begins as a gesture of respect gradually shifts into a movement that exceeds itself. The monument bends deeper and deeper, until the gesture turns into self-satisfaction — a power that pleases itself, consuming its own reverence.

    The Excavator

    Refers to industrial power, resource extraction, and the transformation of the landscape.

    The Gas Station

    Refers to economic and ecological power, the dependence on oil, and the exhaustion of natural resources.

    2017 - Perpetrator - Victim Exchange

    The commander figure is a polyester sculpture from the project Choose and Change and was later 3D scanned. The figure first appeared in the 3D animation Perpetrator - Victim Exchange.
