For the paintings still in my possession, the stretcher bars were removed. Eyelets were attached around the canvas.

In this series I explore the interplay between moving and still images. Each work exists in two versions: a painting and a video, both depicting the same subject. The painting summarizes and fixes what the video shows in motion. In this way, a dialogue emerges between the static intensity of paint and the dynamics of the moving image.
Materials: oil on canvas
The painting shows successive shots of the same fish. In the video, the fish swims in a jar. After two minutes something unexpected and inexplicable occurs — a chance intervention of reality that cannot be repeated.
Dimensions: 80x60 cm
The video shows a railway crossing: the barriers close, the train approaches, a ghost floats across the path. At the moment of impact, butterflies appear, flying away as both train and ghost vanish. The painting anchors this visionary scene in paint.
Dimensions: 150x110 cm
A ball bounces and rolls across the street. A car approaches. A child’s shoe appears, and red stains emerge against the camouflage background.
Dimensions: 90x70 cm
The painting presents a cityscape built up from layers filled with references and objects carrying sexual connotations. In the video, the ambiguity of the title is made explicit, accompanied by a karaoke-like sound fragment that alternates between irritation and arousal.
Dimensions: 150x130 cm
At a small table I drink a cup of coffee while endlessly singing the same line: Drinking a cup of coffee in 180° on a very, very, very lonely Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, a toy Santa Claus walks around. The video captures the repetitive action and its absurdity, while the painting fixes the situation in a pictorial image.
Dimensions: 80x60 cm
I place a digital race car from a computer game alongside a simple, handmade cardboard toy car. In the video, a race unfolds: which car will reach the finish line? The work contrasts the forced imagination of virtual worlds with the personal creativity of a playing child.
