The project Drawing in Motion has been running since 2017 on a large wooden panel of 3 × 2.2 meters. I draw layer upon layer, each time adding something new or erasing again. This creates an ever-changing image in which the drawing is no longer a static endpoint, but a process without a fixed outcome. Photographs of the panel are collected in a video work that I update regularly.
In a next phase, I glue older drawings onto the panel, causing them to lose their independence while merging into a new whole. Paintings, on the other hand, are attached only temporarily, allowing me to explore new compositions without erasing them permanently. In this way, the panel grows into a place where the past and present of my work flow into one another.
